Don’t be intimidated at the thought of replacing your old faucet. Actually, it is usually a fairly simple process. First of all, shut off the water to the sink. Then, look for the cap that covers the screw that holds the faucet in place. Remove the cap, and then remove the screw. The faucet can usually be simply lifted off, to be replaced by the new faucet. Replace the screw and the cap and you’re done.

Of course, it is a little more complex to install a faucet with a hose attachment.  You may have to drill a whole through the countertop then connect the water feed lines as shown in the instructions. Then turn the water back on. It really is not a difficult job if you follow directions carefully.
