I wanted to share with you how you can gain control over tinnitus. If you don’t know what the word means, it actually refers to the phenomenon of somebody hearing ringing sounds that are not caused by outside sources. Fundamentally you’re hearing ringing which does not actually exist. Living with this condition–constant sound–can be stress-inducing and debilitating. There’s no relief from the condition, even when you are trying to sleep. I shall demonstrate how to control tinnitus so that your life will not be affected by this ailment.

One way to have a personal victory over tinnitus is to simply ignore it. In actual fact our brain is conditioned to behave thus. Currently there are millions of sensations that stimulate all of the senses you have. Your brain selects which of the senses you will register, otherwise your conscious mind would be overwhelmed with input. There is a therapy which can teach you how to unconsciously ignore the sound of the ring. A basic exercise will make it work. Concentrate on reading the newspaper and you will discover that you no longer hear any ringing. Keep doing that, and soon you will be unconsciously ignoring the tinnitus.
