The original construction of Hotel Internazionale goes back to the early 17th century. The building was part of the convent of Trinità dei Monti. Part of the old palace was assigned, in “perpetual lease” to Prince Altieri, who lived there with his entourage. Since 1820, the palace, with its internal offices and stores, became a meeting point for artisans and artists. In 1870, after the unification of Italy, the building was completely renovated and completed with a raised structure recessed from the street front in order to build the current Fourth Floor.
