The cancer which affects the thyroid glands and destroys it in such a way that it is impossible for them to grow is called as thyroid cancer. The thyroid is a butterfly like gland lie at the bottom of neck the hormones that are developed in the thyroid gland help to control the heart beats and blood pressure in the body. They are also responsible for the weight control and temperature in the body. The thyroid cancer is not very common in United States about thirty five thousand patients are diagnosed every year but still the rate of this cancer is increasing every year. If like other cancers it is detected at early stages can save life otherwise no treatment can be helpful to cure the cancer.

Some common symptoms that are found in patients of thyroid cancers, looking for what is cancer really is:

Neck and pain in throat, change and hoarseness in voice, difficulty in swallowing, swelling in lymph nodes and lumps on asking or neck just like those lumps which are indicated for the breast cancer. It is very important to know that when should you visit your consultant if you have any problem. Whenever you come across the above mentioned symptoms you can immediately go for a checkup to find out if it is a cancer and if yes than what type of cancer.
