What To Look For In A Hawaii Travel Package
January 25, 2010
Planning a trip to Hawaii? Then consider looking into a Hawaii travel package. You’ll find many different offers of to spend your Hawaii vacation. You can get a package that will allow you to spend all your time on one island or to visit multiple islands during your visit.
There is so much to explore and experience with each of the major Hawaiian Islands that it is recommended to visit one island at a time. That is because it’s impossible to see and do everything on all the islands on one visit. Repeat visits can be spent taking in the sites and adventures of the other islands.
So to help you out, we will look at some of the things to do in the islands. That way picking your Hawaii travel package should be a bit easier.
The Big Island of Hawaii offers you the most to do in many cases. Beaches of course, with surfing and sunning. There is the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, site of Kilauea, which is the world’s most active volcano. Hike the magnificent rainforests, view ancient Petroglyphs, experience deep-sea fishing along the Kailua-Kona coast or dive the island’s crystal clear waters.
Next is Maui, which is nicknamed the ‘Valley Isle’. Here you can look at the Haleakala Crater, which is quite fascinating and makes for some fabulous pictures. The Lao valley is full of wonderful trees, and is just a very beautiful place to experience.
A smaller island that has just recently become more of a tourist attraction is the ‘Pineapple Isle’, or Lanai. With two resorts to choose from you can be assured a visit to here won’t be as crowded as the other islands.
Next would be Molokai, or the ‘Friendly Isle’, stated so because it is a such friendly place to visit. Though it has been developed far less than the other Hawaii islands it still offers much to a visitor to its shores.
Then there is the island that many think is Hawaii - Oahu, ‘The Gathering Place’. It is well named because everybody seems to come here - it is, after all, the main island, containing Honolulu, Waikiki and Pearl Harbor. Even if you prefer the quiet of Lanai or Molokai, you have to take a trip here just to say you have been.
Finally we’ll look at Kauai, also known as ‘Garden Isle’ due to the abundance of natural beauty found here. The Na Pali coast features thousand-foot cliffs dropping straight down into the ocean and dozens of magnificent waterfalls. Unfortunately you can’t drive or hike into this area, but you can see this natural wonder by helicopter or from the sea by charter boat. Kauai is also well-known for having some of the best beaches in the world, including Poipu Beach and Hanalei Bay.
